Grilled pak choi is a really nice, fresh side for most grilled dishes. Pak choi is related to napa cabbage, which is often used in Asian cooking, and is good both hot and cold. You’ll find it at well-stocked vegetable counters. Here I season it with a little chili flakes and lemon zest before it’s grilled quickly on a hot grate.
If you want to build a whole green plate around it, grilled lettuce is a good complement, and for more Asian grilling inspiration there’s our guide to Japanese grilling.
