Name: Coke BBQ Sauce – Easy BBQ Sauce With Cola
Ingredients: 1 tbsp butter; 3½ tbsp chopped yellow onion; 1 tbsp grated ginger; 1 clove pressed garlic; ¾ cup + 1½ tbsp ketchup; ½ tsp grated lemon zest; 2 tbsp lemon juice; 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce; ½ tsp liquid smoke; ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

This sauce goes well with chicken, but you can use it for whatever you like.
The sauce has a slightly different flavor from the usual BBQ sauces out there
Add the rest of the ingredients and cook on low heat until the sauce is thick enough. About 5 min
Season with salt and pepper.
The sauce can be kept in the fridge and lasts for up to a week.
Feel free to make a bigger batch and use it as the sauce base in my BBQ beans.
