How to Make a Bacon Weave, Step by Step

Making a bacon weave might seem complicated, but it really isn’t.

The bacon weave is handy when you want to make things look extra nice. People are always impressed when they see one.

Make sure you get a proper bacon. Scan’s regular bacon won’t do here. It should be a bit thicker, something between pork belly slices (stekfläsk) and bacon.

How to Weave a Bacon Weave

1. Start by laying the bacon strips side by side so they form a square.

1. Then fold every other strip back halfway.
2. Lay one strip vertically across the middle.

1. Fold the strips that were folded back over the vertical strip, and lay a new strip vertically.
2. Fold the bacon from the second layer back over the new strip.

1. Keep going until you have a finished bacon weave.
