Deep-Fried Pasta.
OK, I admit it.
This isn’t grilled, but I had deep-fried pasta at a tapas buffet a while ago, and it was so damn good.
Deep-fried pasta works as a nibble or a side for any buffet or grilled dish. It’s simply made with ordinary fresh pasta. I do want to raise a warning finger, though: don’t use filled fresh pasta such as tortellini. These tend to “pop” like the worst New Year’s firecrackers:
Ordinary fresh pasta works fine.
In this recipe I used fresh lasagne sheets that I cut into strips of a suitable thickness.
